Overdraft ReserveFarmers Trust & Savings Bank has created Overdraft Reserve as a special privilege for our customers who maintain their checking accounts in good standing. We may honor your overdrafts up to the limit assigned; Regular Checking up to $300.00, Super NOW Checking up to $500.00. If you use your Overdraft Reserve, the Bank will deduct its normal $20.00 overdraft charge and notify you by mail. A Non Sufficient Fund (NSF) fee of $20.00 may also be charged when there are insufficient funds because previously deposited funds are subject to a hold or are uncollected funds. Should you write checks that put you over your Overdraft Reserve limit, the Bank may return the check(s). The normal insufficient funds fee will be charged to your account and you will be notified by mail. You then have 15 days after your overdraft in which to bring your checking account into a positive balance. Overdraft Reserve covers ATM and Debit Card transactions along with debits cashed at teller windows. You will be required to bring your checking account into a positive balance within 15 days of your overdraft. If after 15 days your account remains in a negative position, we may close your account and take appropriate steps to recover funds advanced to cover your overdrafts, as well as the Bank’s fees. Whether your overdrafts will be paid is discretionary and we reserve the right not to pay. For example, we typically do not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing, or you are not making regular deposits or you have too many overdrafts.
